Meet Your Coach
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe that everyone is uniquely smart and has what it takes to be successful. As a coach, I work with you to discover the “what” that will help bring you closer to your goals.
I provide a collaborative, safe, and non-judgmental space for you to explore and talk through ideas, strategies, solutions, challenges, and anything that’s on your mind. I listen, ask questions, and challenge you to think differently to explore options that feel right to you and to be accountable for your own learning and development.
My goal is that, through our interactions, you will learn to manage things on your own and will eventually no longer need to be dependent on me.
My Coaching Style
I am supportive, direct, and non-directive (unless you want me to be). In our sessions, you set the agenda. We work on what’s urgent or important to you. I will make suggestions and recommend strategies and solutions as needed. You decide what is right for what you need!
A bit about me
I hold a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu. I completed both degrees while working full-time, an experience that has shaped my understanding of the real-world challenges students and professionals face when balancing academic, work, and personal responsibilities.
I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), which allows me to bring in health and wellness aspects into coaching. I believe that if we are healthy and feel good about ourselves, we are more focused and productive.
In addition to executive function coaching and academic coaching, I have worked as a lecturer, academic advisor, program manager, mental health therapist, social service administrator, business manager, and Pilates instructor – experiences that allow me to take a holistic and strengths-based approach to coaching. Check out my LinkedIn page for more information about my professional background.
I live in Boston, MA, and enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to getting to know you and working with you!
